With data sets now immediately accessible, we can confirm the environmental performance of our planet and our cities in real time. Using tools such as Landsat 8 and remote sensing technology we are able to track storms, pollution plumes, carbon monoxide build up in the atmosphere, chlorophyll production and identify water quality issues across the globe. For the first time in human history we can witness impacts of human activities at a macro scale. We can identify the impacts and respond with immediate effect. Our ability to translate vast amounts of information and multidimensional ideas into pragmatic environmental solutions is expressed through our thorough understanding of complex systems. Energy, water, food production, mobility, waste, ecology and economy, are the ingredients that contribute to the pulse of the planet and shape the performance of our cities. Our approach does aim to raise the performance of the environmental infrastructure of our cities so we may raise our experience from survive to thrive.
